Reports To: Market Director Hourly, Seasonal Work Shifts Saturdays 6am-4pm, May-October Minimum age to apply: 16 years Essential Functions Ensures policy and procedures are followed for everyone’s safety. Coordinates activities related to Market Day (set up of community booths, assisting vendors with booth placement, street signage, securing SFAM equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that all phases of Market Days are executed in a smooth and well-functioning manner. Implements programs as coordinated by the Market Director, for the purpose of effectively serving the community’s demonstrated needs. Maintains consistent and accurate records of market booth transactions. Actively contributes to a cooperative team dynamic for the purpose of maintaining a healthy work environment for all staff and volunteers. Ability: Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor, and community-oriented environment; communicating with a variety of stakeholders; working on a schedule; working as part of a team; flexible to changing conditions; making quick and accurate decisions; and maintaining confidentiality. Physical abilities include ability to safely lift 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and significant fine finger dexterity. Responsibility: assisting in Market Day operations; and working independently under broad organizational guidelines to achieve SFAM objectives Work Environment: The job is often performed under some temperature extremes in a variety of weather conditions. The Market Day is outdoors and physically demanding. Experience: No experience required. Minimum age 16 years.
