SUMMARY:Backyard Birding: Migration
DESCRIPTION:The fifth program in our current OPAS Backyard Birding series will feature a discussion on the topic of Migration\, led by Bob Boekelheide. We will focus on the phenomenon of bird migration and the natural rhythms of avian life that we can observe and study. Bob will emphasize the migratory bird species seen in Clallam County why they migrate\, how they navigate\, and what routes they travel. Our discussion will emphasize why varied habitats are important and why migration is inherent to the health and sustainability of bird populations. Please join us for this valuable program on the natural world we share with birds. Admission to the series is free. However\, we suggest a donation of $5.00 per person to support our ongoing education and bird conservation programs. Please note that current COVID-19 health precautions as recommended by Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and Clallam County Public Health will be followed for the protection of our attendees and volunteer staff.
